Dobson's missed opportunities ends their State Tournament run

Dobson started the game spotting Salpointe three runs. At this level of the tournament, teams are good and mistakes and errors are difficult to overcome. Dobson's rough start began with a hit to left field by Nicole Rascon. Donna Lavigne did not recognize the placement of the ball and left second base open for Rascon to safely reach. Dobson eliminates North Canyon from the State Tournament

Dobson came away with a victory over North Canyon to secure another game in the state tournament. Dobson's bats went cold but the defense committed no errors to hold North Canyon scoreless.
Kelsey clark finished the day a hard hit single to right field to knock in the games only two runs. Katie Doyle made a highlight catch at short stop when North Canyon player hit a sure base hit up the middle of the field. Katie made a great lateral move to the ball extending herself to make the catch but remained on her feet. Arizona Coaches Association Senior All-Star Selections

Founded in 1946, the ACA has been united for the betterment of Arizona Athletes. These coaches have created a scholarship program to honor our outstanding scholar athletes, honor outstanding coaches, & they have developed and assist with the running of the Summer All Star games. The All Star games are the hallmark of the association.
Shortly after the cessation of World War II, the first Arizona High School All-Star event was introduced to the State. Featuring high school seniors, representing a wide variety of sports, the All Star games have given these athletes a fitting tribute upon graduation.
